صرخة إنسانية ضد عقوبة الإعدام في العراق
يشهد العراق تصاعدًا خطيرًا في تنفيذ أحكام الإعدام، في ظل سلطة قضائية باتت تُتهم بالعمل تحت تأثير أجندات خارجية، لا سيما من قبل النظام الإيراني. أصبحت عقوبة الإعدام في العراق أداة قمعية تُستخدم لإسكات الأصوات المعارضة وترسيخ الخوف بين المواطنين.في عام 2024، تصاعدت وتيرة الإعدامات بشكل مقلق، حيث أفادت تقارير حقوقية بأن المئات من المواطنين العراقيين قد أُعدموا بعد محاكمات جائرة تشوبها انتهاكات صارخة لمعايير العدالة. العديد من هؤلاء الذين نُفذت فيهم أحكام الإعدام كانوا من النشطاء السياسيين ومن المعارضين الذين تحدوا النظام القائم.تؤكد المنظمات الدولية أن هذه الإعدامات تتم في ظل إجراءات قانونية يشوبها التسرع والافتقار إلى الشفافية، مما يحرم المتهمين من محاكمة عادلة. وقد صرحت منظمات حقوق الإنسان بأن ما يجري في العراق قد يُعتبر جرائم ضد الإنسانية، خاصةً في ظل تزايد عدد حالات التعذيب والإعدام بناءً على اعترافات انتُزعت تحت الإكراه.يعكس هذا الوضع المأساوي في العراق نمطًا مخيفًا لا يختلف كثيرًا عن ما يجري في إيران، حيث يُستخدم حكم الإعدام كأداة سياسية لتعزيز سلطة النظام وردع أي تحركات شعبية محتملة. ومن المؤسف أن غياب استجابة دولية حازمة تجاه هذه الانتهاكات قد شجّع النظام العراقي على مواصلة هذه الممارسات القمعية.في هذا السياق، نحن في “مركز الرافدين الدولي للعدالة وحقوق الإنسان، سويسرا – لوتسيرن”، ندعو المجتمع الدولي إلى التدخل العاجل والضغط على السلطات العراقية لوقف هذه الإعدامات الجائرة. كما نطالب بإجراء إصلاحات جوهرية في النظام القضائي العراقي لضمان استقلاله ونزاهته بعيدًا عن أي تدخلات خارجية. إن إنهاء عقوبة الإعدام في العراق هو خطوة حاسمة نحو بناء دولة قانون تحترم حقوق الإنسان وتصون كرامة مواطنيها.

A Humanitarian Outcry Against the Death Penalty in IraqIraq is witnessing a dangerous escalation in the execution of death sentences, under a judiciary accused of operating under the influence of external agendas, particularly from the Iranian regime. The death penalty in Iraq has become a repressive tool used to silence opposition voices and instill fear among citizens.In 2024, the rate of executions has alarmingly increased, with human rights reports indicating that hundreds of Iraqi citizens have been executed following unfair trials marred by gross violations of justice standards. Many of those executed were political activists and dissidents who challenged the existing regime.International organizations confirm that these executions are being carried out under rushed legal procedures lacking transparency, depriving the accused of a fair trial. Human rights organizations have stated that what is happening in Iraq could be considered crimes against humanity, especially given the increasing number of cases involving torture and execution based on confessions extracted under duress.This tragic situation in Iraq mirrors a frightening pattern similar to what is happening in Iran, where the death penalty is used as a political tool to strengthen the regime’s authority and deter potential popular movements. Regrettably, the lack of a firm international response to these violations has emboldened the Iraqi regime to continue these oppressive practices.In this context, we, at Al-Rafidain International Center for Justice and Human Rights, based in Lucerne, Switzerland, call on the international community to urgently intervene and pressure the Iraqi authorities to halt these unjust executions. We demand substantial reforms in the Iraqi judicial system to ensure its independence and integrity, free from external interference. Ending the death penalty in Iraq is a crucial step towards building a state of law that respects human rights and protects the dignity of its citizens.

Un Cri Humanitaire Contre la Peine de Mort en IrakL’Irak connaît une escalade dangereuse dans l’exécution des peines de mort, sous une autorité judiciaire accusée d’opérer sous l’influence d’agendas extérieurs, notamment du régime iranien. La peine de mort en Irak est devenue un outil répressif utilisé pour faire taire les voix d’opposition et instiller la peur parmi les citoyens.En 2024, le taux d’exécutions a augmenté de manière alarmante, les rapports des droits de l’homme indiquant que des centaines de citoyens irakiens ont été exécutés après des procès inéquitables entachés de violations flagrantes des normes de justice. Nombre de ceux qui ont été exécutés étaient des activistes politiques et des dissidents qui ont défié le régime en place.Les organisations internationales confirment que ces exécutions sont menées dans le cadre de procédures légales précipitées, manquant de transparence, privant les accusés d’un procès équitable. Les organisations de défense des droits de l’homme ont déclaré que ce qui se passe en Irak pourrait être considéré comme des crimes contre l’humanité, en particulier compte tenu de l’augmentation des cas de torture et d’exécution sur la base d’aveux extorqués sous la contrainte.Cette situation tragique en Irak reflète un schéma effrayant similaire à celui qui se déroule en Iran, où la peine de mort est utilisée comme un outil politique pour renforcer l’autorité du régime et dissuader les mouvements populaires potentiels. Malheureusement, l’absence de réponse internationale ferme face à ces violations a encouragé le régime irakien à poursuivre ces pratiques répressives.Dans ce contexte, nous, au Centre International Al-Rafidain pour la Justice et les Droits de l’Homme, basé à Lucerne, en Suisse, appelons la communauté internationale à intervenir d’urgence et à faire pression sur les autorités irakiennes pour qu’elles mettent fin à ces exécutions injustes. Nous demandons des réformes substantielles du système judiciaire irakien pour garantir son indépendance et son intégrité, à l’abri des ingérences extérieures. Mettre fin à la peine de mort en Irak est une étape cruciale vers la construction d’un État de droit qui respecte les droits de l’homme et protège la dignité de ses citoyens.
